To prepare educational institutions to respond effectively to survivors of violence within school settings, Savy Amira organized a capacity-building training for teachers and members of the TPPK (Violence Prevention and Response Team). The training aimed to strengthen participants’ ability to handle cases of violence in educational environments using a compassion-based, survivor-centered approach. The training was attended by teachers, university students, and survivor advocates. In addition to learning the concept of compassion-based counseling, participants also engaged in practical counseling exercises. Prior to these sessions, participants were guided to cultivate compassion toward themselves, by recognizing their emotions and expressing self-acceptance and care. This process is essential, as without compassion for oneself, it is difficult to extend genuine compassion to others.
