Awareness Session on Violence Prevention and Response at SMPN 26 Surabaya

Savy Amira conducted another awareness session regarding Ministerial Regulation No. 46 of 2023 on the Prevention and Response to Violence in Educational Institutions, this time in collaboration with students and staff at SMPN 26 Surabaya. Participants were enthusiastic in sharing stories about incidents of violence that occur in school settings and how they have been addressed so far. During the session, Savy Amira explained the various forms of violence covered under the regulation on Violence Prevention and Response in Educational Environments (PPKSP). Students reflected on how some behaviors listed in the regulation are actions that have often been normalized among peers, between teachers and students, or among other members of the school community.

Additional information shared included practical steps to take when experiencing or witnessing violence (as a bystander), an introduction to the TPPK (Violence Prevention and Response Team), and guidance on how to access this support system.
