Welcome
Savy Amira Women’s Crisis Centre, based in Surabaya, Indonesia, is a non-governmental organization with over 27 years of experience supporting women and children who are survivors of gender-based violence (GBV). We provide free, professional psychosocial support, including counseling, therapy, and legal aid, in a safe and affirming environment. Our trained and compassionate team offers not just services, but solidarity—honoring the dignity, agency, and healing journey of every survivor who walks through our doors.
Beyond crisis response, Savy Amira works at the intersections of gender justice, social inclusion, and climate justice. We believe that GBV cannot be separated from broader systems of inequality, including those worsened by environmental crises and social marginalization. Through public education, capacity building, community empowerment, and policy advocacy, we challenge the structures that perpetuate violence and injustice—amplifying the voices of women, children, and marginalized groups who are most affected.
Registered with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights and the Surabaya Social Services Office, and serving as a long-standing referral partner of Komnas Perempuan (the National Commission on Violence Against Women), we are committed to transformative change. At Savy Amira, we don’t just respond to violence—we work to end it, building a more just, inclusive, and resilient future for all.
