Partnership Programs
In addition to being a service provider, Savy Amira WCC has been actively engaged in the prevention and response to gender-based violence since 1997. We implement community-based programs in collaboration with various stakeholders who share our concerns and values.
Research and Policy Advocacy
Savy Amira WCC conducts research and policy advocacy focused on issues related to gender-based violence and inclusivity. One of our key contributions was our involvement in the development of the Guidelines for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in Junior High Schools in Surabaya, in collaboration with EMpower, the Faculty of Psychology at UBAYA, and supported by the Surabaya City Education Office. These guidelines are based on Ministry of Education Regulation No. 46 of 2023 and have been adopted by several schools as a technical reference for implementing school-based anti-violence programs. We believe that research plays a vital role in shaping effective strategies for GBV prevention and response. Similarly, policy-level interventions through advocacy are essential to institutional change. Savy Amira WCC welcomes collaboration in research and policy advocacy related to violence prevention, inclusivity, and the protection of marginalized groups’ rights.
Training and Education on Gender-Based Violence Prevention
To support GBV prevention efforts, Savy Amira WCC conducts a range of training and educational programs on violence prevention strategies. These programs are implemented across various sectors, including schools, universities, and professional organizations. With support from the Surabaya City Education Office and EMpower, we have conducted GBV training in five public junior high schools in Surabaya. Additionally, we have provided training to anti-violence task forces at local universities. We believe that ongoing education and capacity building are essential, as public understanding of violence and gender justice remains uneven. Savy Amira WCC is open to collaboration in designing and delivering training and educational initiatives related to violence prevention and inclusivity.
Women’s Community Empowerment
Women continue to be marginalized in the fulfillment of their rights. In response, Savy Amira WCC works to ensure accessible justice for women through community empowerment programs. One such initiative is the Recovery Garden Program, developed in partnership with PW Fatayat NU. This program provides economic empowerment and psychological strengthening for a community of women—many of whom are GBV survivors—in Gresik. Through community empowerment, we aim to support women in rebuilding their lives and achieving economic independence. Savy Amira WCC is eager to collaborate on women’s empowerment programs. Together, let’s advance the rights and wellbeing of women in Indonesia.
